Life Application Study Bible NASB

Life Application Study Bible NASB

As the ad claims, the Life Application Study Bible, NASB translation, is a super choice for studying God's Word.

It's pictured to the left. Like most Bibles, this one comes in a few different varieties. The hardcover version is available in both "regular" format and indexed format. Personally, I don't use the indexed format, but that's a personal decision. I think the leather version is a bonded or imitation one. I read some reviews that pointed out that it wasn't real leather.

The Life Application Study Bible NASB version has over 10,000 in-text study notes and it also has over 100 personality profiles, which come in handy.

As per the usual, you'll find maps, charts, timelines, character studies, dictionary, concordance, and more in this NASB study Bible.

Again, the Zondervan NASB Study Bible is my favorite, but this is a good supplemental. You'll find that each Bible has different study notes and that by combining them, you can get some interesting insights.

Life Application Study Bible (NASB) Notes & Deals

Here's a recap of this great NASB study Bible:

The study notes for the Life Application Study Bible (NASB) tend to be written with your present-day life in mind. While you'll find lots of scripture notes, a good number of them work to apply the scripture to your daily life.

Here's an example of the study notes, taken from Mark 6:49.

"But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, "Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid." - Mark 6:49-50 (NASB)

Study notes from NASB Life Application Study Bible on this Bible verse:

6:49 - The disciples were surprised to see Jesus walking beside them on the water. But they should have realized that Jesus would help them when they were in trouble. Through they had lose sight of Jesus, he had not lost sight of them. His concern for them overcame their lack of faith. The next time you are in "deep water" remember that Christ knows your struggle and cares for you.

6:49-50 - The disciples were afraid, but Jesus' presence calmed their fears. We all experience fear. Do we try to deal with it ourselves or do we let Jesus deal with it? In times of fear and uncertainty, it is calming to know that Christ is always with us (Matthew 28:20). To recognize Christ's presence is the antidote for fear.
