NASB Study Bible

In my library are many Christian books and Bibles. When I study God's Word, I tend to have out a couple study Bible translations, a Bible dictionary, and some other tools.

I prefer the NASB study Bible translation and it's my go-to Bible of choice. While I have all of the other translations as well, I feel the NASB Bible gives me a solid translation and feel.

NASB Study Bible Translation Facts

Here are some quick facts about the NASB Bible that you may or may not know about.

NASB Study Bible Scripture Example

If you're unsure about what translation you want or what the NASB translation is like, here are a couple quick comparisons.

Let's take a look at Matthew 4:19.

And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." - Matt 4:19 (NASB)

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." - Matt 4:19 (NIV)

Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." - Matt 4:19 (NKJV)

You'll notice that the NASB and NKJV are very similar because both use a word-for-word basis for translation. The NASB uses a better source and is a better translation. The NIV uses a "balanced" approach, which is a combination of word-for-word and thought-for-thought, which is why you see more of a difference.

NASB Study Bibles - Many Options

There are many NASB study Bible varieties out there. On the right side of this site I've listed those that I've reviewed/used and pointed out where to get the best deals online too.

When buying a study Bible, take note of how many study aids it contains. You want to see a good amount of in-text notes and cross referencing to help you quick gain an understanding of the piece of God's Word that you're studying.
